A Message from our Principal

Our Guiding Whakataukī

“Me mahi tahi tātau mō te oranga o te katoa ”
Working together for all to succeed, nobody is left behind.

On behalf of the team here at Kelson School, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all visitors to our website. We trust that you find it to be a useful source of information about our wonderful school.

I am extremely proud and excited to be leading a team of talented teachers and support staff in a supportive learning community. I have been teaching and working in primary schools for the past twenty two years prior to becoming a Principal, so I understand the amazing work teachers do every day.

We are committed to providing high quality education where children are encouraged and challenged to reach their full potential. We endeavour to provide a rich and varied programme, which aims to have children become happy, enthusiastic learners who take an active role in their learning. We are a school committed to continual improvement and excellence.

I believe that quality teaching and building positive relationships between students, staff and whānau are the most important factors to ensure our children are reaching their potential. Our Staff, The Board of Trustees and whānau work closely to provide a safe, supportive, stimulating learning environment for the children.
We welcome and encourage whānau participation in all areas of school life. Research shows that when whānau take an active and supportive interest in the school, children develop positive attitudes to learning and achieve accordingly.

If you are an intending parent or visitor to the school community, you are welcome to contact me at the school to answer any queries or would just like to view the school in action.

Ngā mihi nui
Jude Pemberton
